Hello y’all my name is Ron.
And I would like to share my recent experience with happy campers. First of all, I’d like to say that I bought a 2018 37!foot RV never owning an RV before I had no idea what it took to maintain one. So, after owning my RV and living in it for four years, my hot water heater went out on me. So I contacted Tommy at happy campers to see if he could put a new hot water heater in for me. After paying Tommy almost $1000 I had a new hot water heater or so I thought it was a new hot water heater installed in my RV . In the first two months, the new hot water heater kept leaking. I called Tommy on three separate occasions to come and fix it. I never got any callbacks. I went out there tightened up myself, and I got the water to stop leaking. So now fast-forward a year and my hot water heater goes out again. After leaving many messages for Tommy to call me back almost a week later, he calls me or maybe four days. So Tommy did come to my house and take out the hot water heater and left us without any hot water for another week. He kept coming up with excuses why he couldn’t come back and install it now. Keep in mind. Tommy knows I live in the RV. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention when he took the hot water heater out he disconnected my gas line left it wide open, he disconnected the electricity and just left the wires laying on the RV floor that were hot if you turn the electricity back on. so basically what he did was come out to my RV took my hot water heater out, left me with no gas, no electricity and no water knowing that he was not gonna come back the same day. If I would’ve plugged my RV in without checking Tommy‘s work I would’ve had Hot wires that somebody could’ve gotten killed over if they would’ve touched them. not to mention if I would’ve tried to turn my gas on I would’ve had gas leak at the side of my house. The only thing Tommy had to say was that it was my fault for not changing a piece in the hot water heater that needs to be maintained and replaced . But as a RV owner, I never knew that I was supposed to be doing that if somebody would’ve told me, I would’ve done it. And if the repairman was doing his job, he would’ve noticed that that was the reason. The first hot water heater went out. And he would’ve asked me if I was changing them and I would’ve told him no and he would’ve told me well when I put the new one in make sure you check them and change them and he could’ve explained the process to me. Yes, Tommy did come back after they repaired the hot water heater and he did reinstall it in my house. If there was a way for me to take pictures on here or if I knew how to I would the top of my hot water heater at the top is sticking out a quarter inch that’s not lined up he sealed it in the water runs down my RV and it goes into my house because he did such a poor job sealing it. And oh yeah, to this day I’m still asking Tommy for paperwork for my new hot water heater that I paid for and I still haven’t gotten any.
And I could go on about much more stuff as well, but I won’t. The moral to my story is I trusted, happy campers. And they let me down terribly………
