Peaceful and serene when I was there in October. Fills up during the warm holidays and a few campers during bear season. Nice shade canopy for the summer. Sixteen spots with tent pads, concrete picnic tables, most with fire rings, a clean but stinky vault toilet, lantern posts and a beautiful creek they stock weekly during trout season. A few trails in the area. Best of all it's free. Eight spots can accommodate RVs but eights spots are tent only due to designated parking. I have seen a class A in there before but maybe only four spots could accommodate one. The gravel road in was recently graded but it's still a little rough. About 15 mph is what you can expect.
Google maps is good about getting you there. But from the south on Hwy 30 it tries to cut you through someone's driveway right before turning on Lost Creek Rd. Just ignore that and it will correct. Lost Creek Rd is gravel and ~7.2 miles to the campground. You will lose cell signal back there but maps still gets you there. The first little bridge you come to I call 2 mile bridge because from there it's 2 miles to the CG. The CG is right past the second bridge. The best cell service is 1.5 miles past the CG almost on top of the mountain. The road is particularly wide there with a pull off on the left. 2-3 bars 4G LTE Verizon.
