First, we want to thank the staff and park management for all they did for us. There was a family emergency and they found a way to get us into a site a month early.
This is a new park north of Denton, Texas. The park is very clean and well kept. Nice room between campsites. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Please be aware there is road construction at the intersection of I35 and FM455, as well as at the entrance to the resort. This makes it challenging to enter and exit the park in a large RV.
Amenities:
1. Mailroom is organized and the staff keeps it that way.
2. The pool was very nice, although we didn’t use it.
3. Laundry room is new and clean. Nicely priced as well.
4. The clubhouse is large. It has a kitchen that is kept clean and in great working order. We can’t say enough about the cleaning staff and the extra mile they go to keeping things clean and organized in the clubhouse and bathrooms.
5. Sites are roomy and level. No need for leveling blocks. The only thing I would like improved is the access to the water hookups. They are below ground level to protect them from freezing. This makes it a challenge for older and physically challenged folks to hookup their water hoses. Perhaps they have a solution for this. I’m not sure. I should have asked.
6. The water connection in site 82 is surrounded in mud for 2-3 days after a rain. It also fills up with water which makes it even more challenging. Suggest the park consider surrounding the connection with gravel to control the mud.
Please note that we did not bring these two issues to the staff’s attention before we left. These are not deal breakers as far as we’re concerned. We will definitely return and recommend this park highly to anyone in the area!
