Much cleaner and bigger than past years. The sand was fairly clean. There are outdoor showers to rinse all the sand off. You can buy necessities and some drinks and snacks. Life vests are provided. You can rent paddle boats and kayaks. Restrooms are new and clean, although I wish they were air conditioned. We went on a day it was 100 degrees, so the bathrooms were very warm.

My only negative point is the goose poop all over the grass and a little in the sand. And there were some dead fish on the shore that smelled horribly, we ended up moving them ourselves. Someone keeping the grass, sand and beach clean would be great...especially now that the area is staffed.
