Super quiet, about 9 sites spread out okay. No water, primitive sites with tables and fire pit only and a pit toilet. Hoh river is about a 10 min walk. Drive in is dusty and longish, but doable in most cars. It's super dusty now in early August with some mist, but I imagine this place gets super slimy in rain. Bring all your trash out with you. Bring your Discover pass, pen, and paper, it was out of registration envelopes.
edit after the night: omg tons of mosquitoes.
Lots of road and chainsaw noise during the day and the sites are not as private as Cottonwood. The accesible sites look pretty cool and have some balcony overlooks built into them. 2 pit toilets. Bring lots of water, there is none here and if you filter the river is a ways down. More bugs here for some reason, maybe bc it's a little warmer. I came at 1pm on a Monday in late July and about 6 of 13 sites had people set up. Lots of trees, you could hang a hammock at most sites. Picnic table and firepit at each. Make sure to have your Discover pass, too. And take out all of your garbage. Thanks!
