Campsite: Thousand Trails Williamsburg

We stayed at this park and Chesapeake Bay half a dozen times each between August and November (we needed to stay in the area) and we were happy with the sites we were assigned each time as they were fairly spacious and could accommodate our extra vehicle and motorcycle trailer.

Most of the people we met were very friendly. The staff was prompt in addressing an issue with a neighbor parking in our yard during one of our stays and were always very helpful and friendly when we came into the office to have coffee and popcorn.

The bathrooms were always very clean (And pink! Even the men's) and there were nice open areas to walk the dogs.

This park is very kid friendly, but that also means there are a lot if kids wandering around unsupervised.

Overall a great park and also fairly close to stores which was nice.

We will be back next autumn!

Campsite: Thousand Trails Chesapeake Bay

We stayed at this park and Williamsburg half a dozen times each between August and November (we needed to stay in the area) and we were usually able to get a good site. Most sites are very spacious with trees in your yard area to give tou plenty of shade and areas to hang out outside.

The people we met were very friendly whether it was other campers or the staff. The store has Hershey brand ice cream with constantly rotating flavors and very good quantity for the price.

The bathroom by the sports field and tent area did not seem to be cleaned frequently or thoroughly, unfortunately. The toilets would have yellow buildup in the bowls for several days before they would be cleaned with a brush, and there was often a strong odor. There was always toilet paper, soap, and paper towels, so the bathroom was being stocked frequently, just not cleaned.

There were nice open fields to walk the dogs as well as a trail along the lake that leads to a beach area you can swim at if the weather has been warm enough.

The park and surrounding areas are in the country so the scenery is gorgeous, though it is a bit of a drive to get to any major stores.

Overall a nice place to stay and we will be back next autumn!
