This is an excellent campground for people traveling between Glacier National Park and Yellowstone or Grand Tetons National Park. We made reservations for our spot for fear everything would be gone but there were plenty of spots available. Just off the highway on a thin but paved road, in a pine forest on hills the spots are big and shaded and secluded. It has the feel of a happy sunny pine forest not the dark ominous kind. Great for kids. Cleanest, freshest pit toilets we have used and lots of convenient fresh water spigots. Kind of wished we could have stayed another night but we had another reservation a days drive away with a lake to swim in. My husband and I decided to finally try sleeping all night in our hammocks, it was the best sleep of our 10 day trip. You do hear some highway noise but not so disturbing. On our way out we tried to get gas in Spencer but found they were closed Tuesday and Wednesday, so plan accordingly. Also they have opal mines there in Spencer, could be a fun activity.
