Campsite: Pigmans Ferry Hiker-biker Overnight Campsite — Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park
A great free hiker/biker campsite along the C&O Canal towpath trail. Nothing special by campground standards, but it's one of the nicer free spots along the C&O bike trail. Pigmans Ferry is also somewhat farther away from the railway than some other campsites, so the trains horns that continually sound through the evening were not as loud and jarring.
