Campsite: Jumbo Rocks Campground — Joshua Tree National Park

It's my favorite campground inside the park since I pull a small trailer. Plenty of reserved spots for different sized rigs. Central location to good hikes, fantastical rock formations to explore without driving anywhere, too. I don't run a generator, but there are hours others can, and I appreciate that those campers seem to adhere really well. Very dark here, which is amazing. Recycling bins towards the entrance. No water, which is a plus in my opinion because people are less wasteful when they have to haul it in. Vault toilets are as clean as you could hope for. But in meandering around, there are places in rock crevasses where people have thrown a lot of garbage, empty water bottles, etc. Breaks my heart, the litter piling up across the isolated lands of the West. I wish people would pack it out. I pack it out when I find it. Anyone can. Anyways, a treasure, Joshua Tree National Park. A treasure to care for and love. And a campground to utilize if you have a rig and/or want to camp safely around more people.
