Fun moderate hiking trail to go on. Takes you right up to the lake and has great views of the surrounding mountains. If you are lucky the local wildlife might make an appearance.

The backpacking trail is a little more difficult than other trails die to the lack of water. Later in the season there are only a handful of places to get clean water from. Would recommend a nice filter. Going early in the season might be preferable to beat the heat and make sure that the springs are still flowing. Over all tons of fun and the Native shelters are fun to find and get right up to.
