Park is beautiful. Bureaucratic rangers running it are completely lacking logic and ability to manage and run the place. They did not let people in early only to have everyone (over 20 cars) pile up right at two at which point they couldn't handle the flow, and things just stopped moving. After 15 minutes they pushed some cars forward to the office to try and create a second line for checking in but still wouldn't process you unless you were the first car in line resulting in us just sitting there for over 30 minutes to check in. All could have been avoided by letting us check in when people arrived.. as someone who has visited over 4 dozen state parks in California that was the poorest execution ever witnessed for checking in folks to the park. Pathetic. Don't come on time if you want a typical check in experience.
