My wife and I have grown kids, so we are unlikely to give a valid opinion about the playground, etc. But on the lower level thus park is an extremely quiet place to have a walk and a picnic. There are numerous picnic tables and a walking trail that winds around near the San Antonio River. Down on that level, the embankment shields you from the drone of traffic above and you can not only see the birds but hear them as well. The last time we went was January, so we only saw a handful if walkers, but we could hear children playing on the level above in the playground.

Bottom line, a nice place to have a peaceful walk near the river.
