#6 was a beautiful group site so secluded from everyone. It’s a walk up site so definitely bring a wagon. It’s probably 100 feet from the parking spot. We were next to the creek and it sounded so peaceful at night. Surprisingly it was pretty cold at night and we went the third week of June. There were a ton of little gnats and bugs though when we first got there. I would recommend bringing a zapper or deterrent so they’re not flying in your space. It wasn’t too far of a drive to the lake. Definitely no reception there unless you leave the park. They do have a store right outside the park with ice cream and a steak house. Restrooms weren’t that much further than your parked car.
We stayed at #21’s walk up site. It was suitable for tent camping and so close to the lake. They have spigots available and bathrooms were fairly clean. We stayed second weekend of June of 2022 and it was freezing still. Bring a wagon for this walk up campground. It’s pretty secluded. I think 19, 21, 22, and 24 are the best spots because you have an amazing view to wake up to. We did the Navajo lake loop trail. I don’t recommend for kids unless you want to hear them complaining the whole time.
