I love this place! 💜 Wish it would never change. Pete and Kay have been careful stewards of this peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of city life for 27 years. (👌Thanks for your dedicated service!) María and her husband will be taking the reins in fall 2021 and we hope the transition won't disappoint. It provides clean and serene at Morningstar in the wilderness of Big Reservoir. Make your reservation early if you want to be sure of a quiet spot.

A few miles before reaching the camp office, there is an area dedicated to motorized pleasure vehicles but the lake is wake free - paddles only! The fall of night here yields spectacular star gazing opportunity. And the fish do bite!

Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen, some binoculars, a bit of bug spray, and ear buds (for downloaded music or media as it's totally off grid). Help keep it wonderful by respecting the grounds and co-campers. We appreciate it as repeat visitors.

And prepare to be wowed by it's beauty.
