Came in later in the evening on a Friday...and it's peak camping season in this part of the Sierras. The camp hosts (never got their name, but it was the two gentlemen with a class C) were great and went out of their way to find us a campsite for us and our incoming family members. The sites are spaced apart nicely, and people were respectful and quiet at night. Camp hosts also did a superb job keeping the sites picked up after people left, and the pit toilets were clean and well-stocked. There are bears, or at least a sign on the information board stating that bears are active in the area, but we didn't see any (also, there aren't any bear boxes...so keep your food and cooking stuff in your trunk or out of sight locked in your vehicle). We did see either ground squirrels or chipmunks...even knowing that body size and stripes on the head can be used to differentiate, it was difficult to tell. Great weekend, awesome campground, and outstanding camp hosts.
