Gorgeous setting! We went in late January and the access road was closed so it was a 25-30 minute walk (1.4 miles) to the hot springs. First you walk on a gravel road and then you switch to a gravel boardwalk. Bring boots because it is super, super muddy to get from the gravel boardwalk to the actual hot springs. The hot springs themselves are awesome. The rocks are a little slippery, but the bottom of the springs is more sandy. We got there about a half an hour before the sun set and the setting was just spectacular. Absolutely stunning views of the mountains. Bring a warm set of clothes for the walk back - gloves and hat are a good bet.
