★ Shenandoah Village ★
★ It's a nice, clean, active 55+ community ★
⭐️- Brand new, and newer modular homes, affordable single and double wide trailers, placed among the shade of large trees, in a quiet, No Soliciting neighborhood.
⭐️- Includes full access to their well-appointed Clubhouse with gym, ping-pong table, shuffleboard, and plenty of scheduled activities.
⭐️- In-ground pool, outdoor BBQ area with putting greens, and twin shuffleboard slides.
☆ Where this place suffers ☆
⚫️- You are responsible for shoveling snow from your driveways in the Winter. Keeping your whole lawn free from leaves in the Fall, by bagging everything up, and putting at the curb on select yard waste pick-up dates (No curbside leave sucking, like the rest of the surrounding towns have). Keeping your lawn mowed, and clean, and bundling any sticks with fope in small bundles. The Management is all over you in keeping this done, and will punish you if its left undone.
⚫️- In the Winter, they have their own snow plows, but the whole development will be THE ONLY streets in the area with snow and ice still on them.
⚫️- Rules, Rules, Rules, Rules, Rules. They have unfair rules for everything. The pool, the clubhouse, having guests over, bringing the grandkids places, having parties, motorcycles, home inspections, parking on the street, having campers and trailers, EVERYTHING! Make sure that you are informed about EVERYTHING before you even consider moving in here.
🔴- For a place where you buy your home, and pay monthly "Lot Fees", they have so many rules about the amenities that are part of the cost to live here, that it doesn't seem worth it.
🔴- For how much you pay, and for a place where seniors are to enjoy the twilight of their lives, having to worry about so much to take care of, Its like the management charges you and then dumps responsibilities on their tenants that SHOULD be included in your lot fees.
🔴- There are many, better places for seniors where you can pay your monthly fees, and just have to worry about living your life, and not appeasing your overlords at the same time.
