My husband and I stayed at the lodge for four nights, and we absolutely loved it. The room and bathroom were really nice and clean, the whole place was! We enjoyed the golf course, there were two deer on the fairway right behind us as we were on the first green - it was so cool being so close and they didn't seem bothered at all!! We saw deer multiple times while we were playing. I saw a beaver in person for the first time ever, he was right next to the bridge that connects the lodge to the boat rental area. He was down there chomping away! We fished too, didn't catch anything, but we still had fun - are there fish in these lakes? We rented a Jon boat with a trolling motor, and that gave great views of the lodge from the lake. We hiked a bunch and had lunch down by the creek on one of our outings. It's so peaceful there, and everyone we encountered was super friendly. We had dinner at the lodge a couple of nights, and everything we had was great. I was really looking forward to some great catfish on our trip, and let me tell you, the lodge absolutely nailed it!! It was so good and crispy, and they served me 3 huge pieces! We tried another catfish place in the area prior, and while it was okay, it just didn't compare to the lodge. Overall we had a great time, and look forward to coming back soon!
