The only redeeming quality of this “camp ground” is the view of the mountains across the lake. I would not say they have beach access, it is a rocky boat launch. The campground is open giving very little privacy with the lack of trees. If you’re going for a cult vibe, this may be for you. The ground is slanted everywhere, good luck finding a flat area in the tent section. Can not speak for the RV section.
The main reason I came to leave this review is due to the unacceptably rude service from the owner. Quiet hours began at 11, where a total of four of us were playing a board game around 11:30. Nobody was yelling, just enjoying a board game for my boyfriend’s birthday. Not even playing music. The owner came up to us and immediately threatened us instead of professionally asking us (for the first time I should add) to be quieter. A kind reminder and we would have graciously whispered, as our site was close to his house.
Meanwhile the site two beyond ours was drunkenly rowdy, but hey they are camping and we know what to expect. So here is your feedback: if you’re going to own a business when’re you live you should probably be less of a duckhead to your customers. Apparently private campgrounds aren’t expected to hold a decorum of professionalism. Will never camp here again and will never recommend Camp Skyland. You’re much better off at state campgrounds.
