Campsite: COE Beaver Lake Prairie Creek Campground

Really nice Corps of Engineers campground. Level pads, but be prepared to back in on a hill for some. The whole loop was covered in oak trees, with lots of nature activity. Deer and other critters seen to wander the campground.

The site I was on was near the boat launch drive, which saw quite a bit of early morning and evening activity. While it didn't bother me, some folks might wish to be on the other side of the loop.

Bathrooms were clean, but showed signs of a long season. Since they will shut down 1 Nov for the year, I'm sure all the maintenance will be taken care of. My one critique is that the shower runs on a button push timer and provided approx 4 seconds of water per push. And you had to push it a number of times to get the barely lukewarm water from the heater to the shower head. I'd gladly bring quarters, or have a timer, but this system is the worst.

Campsite: Prentice Park Campground

This is a nice city campground. We are actually in site #8, which is a non electric site on the RV loop. It's for trailers that don't need hookups.

Overall, the campground is clean, chill and manicured. The bathrooms were very clean. I cannot comment on the water temp in the shower, but I've not heard anyone scream due to the temp! Also, the public bathrooms are locked overnight, but when you check in, the camp ghosts were quick to give us the code for the showers, and there is a toilet there.

I've stayed in a number of city park campgrounds over the years, and this is really quite nice. Thanks for keeping it in great shape.
