We were touring / tent camping via motorcycle when we came to Lake Eaton. The sites were laid out very well, easy to find flat spots. Great location for excursions to Long Lake, Owl's Head mountain & fire tower, and canoe / kayak rentals right at Eaton. Weather was not the best; the day we left was when the heavens opened & flooded the area; the next night we took refuge at the Adirondack Hotel at Long Lake. Still a memorable & enjoyable leg of our trip!
