Campsite: Cypress Black Bayou Recreation Area
They should really put more info up to make it more accessible.
I came here to explore the area but you need to purchase a day pass, there were no prices marked and as you can see in the photo they don’t update their hours.
Could be cool but should be better maintained
Campsite: Friends Landing
I did not camp here but I would if I could in the future! We just stopped here to stretch our legs on the trail and were not disappointed!
The trails are mostly paved, and provide you with scenic and serene views.
ONLY PROBLEM!! I did see some SS & other anti-Semitic symbolism carved into trees around the park which is why I dinged a star. Please be careful here & will someone please fix those carvings?!
Otherwise, this spot has lots of gorgeous flowering trees and lake views I really enjoyed. Plus there is lots of parking and room for big rigs!
