This campground is a treasure and is very unique! About 70% of the sites are long-term seasonal but residents are allowed to decorate and landscape. Walking through at night is like walking through a fairy village with all the lights. We love this place! Weekends are full so make your reservations well in advance. The New River is just at the bottom of the mountain with rafting, camping, and kayaking. Great fun! You’re also close to West Jefferson, the Old Barn Winery, and less than an hour’s drive from Blowing Rock, Boone, and Grandfather Mountain, and right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. I highly recommend!
