If you're looking for first growth forest trails and superior natural campsites, this may be the best NY State campground for you. There is a lovely pond which looks great for canoes and kayaks.

Not too far from here you can visit historic Fort Ticondiroga. Depending on the season, there may be lots of insects by the lake, but don't worry. Numerous sites are high, dry and surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty.
