Had a good time at Mack's Canyon. Went during the week and had the camp to ourselves at the end of the road. We made it up with a 2wd Jeep compass. High clearance recommended just take it easy.

It is all primitive, so no public restrooms, no water, etc. And you lose cell service. Bring water with you.

We seen some birds, deer and squirrels (Chipmunks?) up there. Felt safe. No animal threats.

Was disappointed at the amount of trash we saw left behind by others but we cleaned it up. Pack it in and out people. Don't be that person. Respect the land.

There are two signs coming in that say no fires but there's fire pits everywhere up there. It gets chilly in the evening and what's a camp without a fire? If you do have one it's at your own risk. Keep it small and contained and be responsible.
