Campsite: Klamath National Forest O'Neil Creek Campground

A sprawling campground spread among tall (but not giant) redwoods. Though, it is certainly in need of repairs (the roads are just really shot…I wasn’t sure how some of these trailers got in). The road to the entrance is all uphill winding, and once inside it’s all downhill winding to the sites). Many campsites have amazing privacy, and many don’t. But once night falls, it feels private due to spacing.

Because of its location deep in the valley, there is absolutely no cell service in the campground, and you’ll need to drive for at least 10 minutes back towards town to get a signal. Just FYI. Also very little wind, good for safety, bad for bugs.

Bathrooms are adequate, but definitely have seen better days… The showers, well, warm, remind me of prison showers!

I would recommend skipping this campsite and heading further south to the hidden Springs Campground area. But if this is in the region you need to visit, you’re still going to have a good time.
