Campsite: Oak Bottom Tent Campground — Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area
This decent sized lake is just a short drive West of Redding. The Oak Bottom Marina is adjacent to the beach. I'm not sure if we missed a sign or not, but the Marina was a bit hard to find (turn left before the parking lot on the left).
We rented kayaks for 4 hours and had a wonderful time. We saw a large variety of birds and even watched a bald eagle fishing.
