Camped during a warm April weekend. Had the entire place to ourselves overnight, with some day-users fishing off the dock or just making a pit-stop with their boat. We brought a wagon to help carry stuff in/out. In Spring the water level of the lake is pretty low, so the beach was mud, but it's not like we were going to swim anyway. Beautiful morning with mist rising from the water, Canadian geese honking, drinking coffee on the dock. My least favorite part was quite a bit of goose poop all over the grounds. You just kind of get used to it after a while because it's unavoidable.
