Excellent campsite! 10-15 minutes from Gardiner/North entrance of Yellowstone. $7 per night with pit toilet access. Sites are curtained by massive boulders, providing privacy. Despite being near the road, it’s pretty quiet- I mostly heard the breeze in the pines and the river. We saw bighorn sheep, elk, and bison several times along the road between Yellowstone and canyon campground. Each site has a fire pit with a grill cover. I would absolutely stay here again.

Fantastic campground- we got here early to get one of the 14 first come, first serve sites. Each site has an adjustable grill grate over a fit put as well as a large, sturdy picnic table. Several sites are located right on the lake; you can watch the sunrise and sunset on the water. The Ozette triangle trailhead is less than a quarter mile away, where you’ll find sea stacks, breathtaking ocean views, sand beaches, and maybe the occasional whale.
