Campsite: Rock Creek Campground — Standish-Hickey State Recreation Area

This is a very nice camp ground and has showers! 25 cents for a few minutes. It does take a bit for the water to get warm enough for a shower though. There's a great restaurant just a jog across the street. The traffic noise is minimal and the camp hosts are awesome!

Campsite: Indian Mounds — Northern Highland State Forest

This is a nice camping area with boat launch and huge campsites. Reserve early to get a site next to the water! We didn't see any real hiking trails but there's little traffic and plenty of road to walk. Tables and seating near the boat launch to sit and watch the sunrise/ sunset near the water.

Campsite: Rome Riverside Campground

We spoke with the owners (who presented as kind during the conversation) prior to arrival. Had we not done so, based upon the contentious non greeting we received from the manager, we would have gone elsewhere. Upon the manager seeing us waiting, he approached in an agitated manner, negative tone of voice and body language. He acted as though we were an interference to his evening. Despite his attitude toward us, we paid $45/ night for tent camping with access to porta potties. The lower level where the Rvs are, has shower and regular toilets. However, the women's shower window has what appears to be a camera situated off center outside the window. You can clearly see the camera lens while standing in the shower stall on the left. Presuming the camera is 180° - it's view includes the women's restroom/ shower area. Just to note, the camera (another guest verified that's what it was) was not centered on the front of the building as would be expected, but additional line run from the outlet to be able to set it up outside the window. The shower area also doesn't include any shelves or chairs to put personal items onto while showering, so you have to walk in front of the window to put items in the sink area.
