Awesome place to camp! It was pretty quiet except for truck noise from the highway at times. We had a spot right by the river (#7). The water was only about 4ft deep and there was a sandbar you could walk out to. We saw a lot of wildlife; wild horse, lizards, skunk. Watch out for the fire ants especially if you have a dog! $15 per night. Camped on a Thursday in May, not crowded, lots of sites to choose from. Helpful & nice rangers! Very clean latrine that smelled like vanilla. Drinking water available.
