We stayed here because they are part of Passport America. So we stayed for $18.
My wife made the arrangements through Tammy. She was extremely nice.
They were closing at 3pm and Tammy had told us we are in site A24.
When we arrived, I was shocked that she would tell us to take that site. She knew we have a 40' motorhome. The site was on a 15 degree (minimum) slant! The sites all around 24 were wide open.
I had to go to 3 different sites and plug in until I found one with the electric hooked up.
It is a beautiful location. But all the sites are not even close to being level. And that includes the tent sites.
The drive into the campground is tight. I have never seen a road so narrow. You literally have inches on each side of your rig before the tires are touching the paint.
They are right on the water. It is very quiet. If I was given a site that was almost level, I'd stay here again for the $18.
This was the first KOA we've stayed in. We were going to Monticello so it was close enough to ride our bikes.
The staff here is great. She works hard to put people in spots for the time requested and in sites that fit their rig.
The sites are a good size, almost level and they're positioned so that you have privacy.
The maintenance staff does a great job of clearing the trees for big boys coming in. Nothing ticks me off more than having tree branches scrape along the side and roof of my motorhome.
The showers and restrooms look like they've recently been renovated. For those of you that use the shower facilities, you'll love these. You get your own room with a shower, toilet and sink.
I walked by the pool early morning. I wasn't sure if it was open. What was highly strange was the barbed wire that ran around the top. I really don't know the purpose of that because it's on top of a 6 foot fence.
They have wifi for those of you that need it. I logged on one night for the sake of this review. It was good enough to stream and get a crisp clear picture.
They have a volleyball ball net, horseshoe pit, tether ball and a big bouncy pad for kids.
They lose a star due to the fact that the recreational equipment listed above is really dated. It doesn't take much money to buy new stuff.
It is somewhat high in price. But the staff was mentioning that the wifi and electric in that area is expensive.
If you're looking for a site in this area, this is a good one.
