A strenuous 3 mile hike with 2000' of elevation gain will bring you to the high backcountry camp on the slopes of Guadalupe Peak. Unmatched views of the surrounding mountains in the one side and endless desert views to the east make this campsite hard to beat. Relax in the shade of the pines as your legs recover from the climb.

At only 1 mile and 1000' below the summit, this camp makes a great jumping off point for a sunrise trip to the highest point in TX.
