Campsite: McGee Creek RV Park & Campground

This place was pretty nice. My family and I stayed here for a few nights in a 30-foot Rv. They have some people camping in trailer Rvs, regular Rvs, and also some people in tents. They had full hook ups for the rv; sewage, water, and electricity. The spot we had was 30/50, and it was backed up to a small running creek. The staff were nice and accommodating. They had a little fenced off area for dogs and a trout pond to fish, but you must bring your own gear; there is even a man stationed in a shack to clean and cut the fish for you. Across the street is a small bakery, and next to it is a small store that says ice cream, snacks, and tackle, but every time I tried to visit, it was closed. I was hoping I could rent a fishing pole there, but I never had the opportunity to set foot inside. The stars at night were wonderful, the sound of the creek was relaxing, and the area surrounding the camping site had beautiful mountains to gaze upon; there was still a little snow on the tops when we stayed. It is worth a stay if it suits the areas you wish to visit. The closest gas station was about 10 minutes away with a small general store; they had snacks, essentials, small propane canisters, and even had a kitchen serving hot food and fresh pizzas. About 20-25 minutes away, in the other direction, was mammoth lakes that had a decent sized town that even had a Vons, dominos, and restaurants.
