Huge sand beach with plenty of room. We were the only ones there in the middle of the day, but even with other people, there's plenty of room to spread out.

If it's too windy though, the sand is so fine, it will feel like pellets hitting you so keep an eye on the wind.

The water is fairly cold, potentially harsh, not always the best to swim in, especially for kids. But at times and in certain areas, it is safe to go in the water.
