Campsite: Mountain Views Cabin___Romantic Getaway___Wine Grotto

If you like the feeling of isolation in nature, yet you also like the amenities of a cozy mountain cabin, this place is for you! Truely a gem in the Rockies. My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon at this cabin, and we plan to go back someday in the future. Here are a couple this to note: 1. The Google map directions to this cabin are WRONG. If you are coming south from Rollinsville, CO, Google maps will attempt to take you down Gamble Gulch Road. This is INCORRECT (and the road itself is rather sketchy at night), what you want to do is take Lump Gulch Road (basically the next right you can take AFTER Gamble Gulch Road). Bobcat Trail Road will be about a mile down Lump Gulch Road on the right. You then drive down Bobcat Trail Road until you get to a metal gate (should be open) and stay left, and then stay right when you get the the fork in the road after that. The cabin is probably 100 yards after that. As I said, the cabin is isolated, so don't get frustrated if it takes a bit of windy, dirt roads to get there, it's totally worth it! 2. Everything runs on solar power and propaine! This is so cool and makes you feel as if you are making a small footprint (which you are). 3. The view is gorgeous (enough said). 4. Bring your own food, the cabin is definitely stocked with essentials, but that is all. 5. This cabin is ideal for a couple, there is not really much more space then that, but for two, it is perfect. 6. Flat screen TV (small, granted) and Bose stereo system?!?! I think yes! 7. The only real learning curve is sleeping in the loft. The bed is super cozy and warm, but you have to climb a ladder to get to it. Granted, my wife and I loved it, but not made for people who have issues with climbing down a ladder to pee at night ;)

All in all, loved it. The owner, Rea, is a very sweet and thoughtful lady, and the cabin is kept very well. Awesome rates at $150 per night plus free skiing vouchers (which we didn't even have time to use). Highly recommend this location for a romantic get-away.
