Campsite: Spacious Skies Campgrounds - Peach Haven

We have stayed at this campground twice for extended periods while working. The first time it was under KOA management. The grounds were clean however the staff was very unfriendly and rude, aside from a few work-campers.

This last time we stayed, it was under new management, Spacious Skies. The campground definitely has a different feel than last time. The staff are definitely much nicer, always welcoming us with smiles and waves.

During our stay, they had three new washers and dryers installed which was great. The buildings in the park were all painted, covering the old KOA motif, and it looks great. They replaced all the pool area seating and refinished the mini-golf course. Prior to our arrival they also had a massive inflatable jump pad installed that seems to be very popular with kids.

We felt that we were allowed to enjoy our time. We weren’t harassed at anytime by staff, they have activities for campers and provide a welcoming stay.

The downside…The campground does not have restrictions on age/condition of RVs that we are aware of. During our last two months, we endured a difficult situation with a completely run down, rusted out camper, with a ripped off awning. The camper was small for the family of 6, and 3 dogs that parked next to ours. It was uncomfortable with the witnessed physical and verbal abuse that was occurring next door, constant yelling, and unsupervised children. We reported the issues to authorities and the campground. Our complaints were heard and appropriate measures were taken. Understandably, the resolution did take some time to come to fruition.

The situation did change our experience from enjoying our long stay RV resort, to making it feel like a long term mobile-home park. We believe the situation could have been avoided with better vetting, and camper condition guidelines for long term campers.

Despite that unfortunate experience, we did feel like our lot was a slice of home. Overall we loved our experience and would not hesitate to return.
