The worst experience I have ever had. I travel consistently both on my own and with my husband. I have stayed in hundreds of rentals, some of which were not ideal, but I also understand that you get what you pay for and I have never written a bad review before now. I am an outdoorsy girl (lots of hiking and backpacking) I am not scared of bugs. But when I pay $95 a night, I do not expect the conditions that I found in these cabins. I paid to stay there 2 nights and my horrible experience was only worsened by the owner's aggressive and nasty response when I politely addressed my concerns with him the following day. Not only was the cabin infested with spiders and black beetles that were in the beds, pillows, dropping from the ceilings and walls all night long, but the whole place was dirty. The carpet was not vacuumed with dirt and hair all over it. The bedding was clearly uncleaned with hair and dirt from the previous guests (and the previously mentioned beetle under the covers). A spider ran out of my pillow when I was checking the bedding and as I tried to fall asleep (with the lights on) spiders were dropping from the ceiling every 15 minutes waking me up. Beyond the bugs, floors, and bedding, the bathroom has no light or outlet in it. So I showered in complete darkness- which wasn't a big deal until you step out of the shower and realize that the shower completely floods the bathroom every time you turn it on. Flooded floors and no lights makes a dangerous situation. Needless to say, I got no sleep and was a vendor the following day for an art show. I decided I would deal with it since I had already paid and champ it out for my second evening. However, my cabin had an extremely scenic view of a gas station just behind it. That evening, 2 men parked in the back of the gas station after it closed and watched me for over an hour through my window. When they got out of the car, leaned against it and continued to stare at me and whistle, I gathered my things and drove to a safe place. I decided I would find a safe, clean hotel for the night as the cabin doors and windows would have been easily broken into. I politely addressed the upsetting situation with the owner, who, up until now, had been friendly. I left him a voicemail- politely explaining that I had to pay $177 for the second hotel and blew any chances of making profit from my art show and hoped we could work something out. He called me back angry and yelling as I answered. He victim blamed me for everything and told me I should have stayed in the unsafe cabin to wait for the cops to arrive. He shouted at me and would not even let me fully explain the situation before hanging up on me. Horrible customer service! I was shaken and upset again by his rude behavior and never did he apologize or empathize with my situation.
Bottom line: Do not waste your money here- I have stayed in $45 rentals that were better kept and safer than this place. It is disgusting and unsafe.
