This is nature at its finest. Went this month (October). The dirt road leads you right to the creeks edge road itself was well maintained. We found that water temperature to be perfect about 1000' from the source, I did not explore outside of where I went into the water so I would say always test the water before walking in, you never know if and when the temperature will change.

This is nature, there are bugs, if this is something you do not like, proceed with caution. I was not bothered by any but see reviews of bad encounters.

I soaked for 30 minutes and felt amazing afterwards. After roughing it in a tent for a few days. I felt like a new man.
