Campsite: Barnes RV Park

This place is fantastic! I move around allot for the railroad and I've stayed at countless RV parks, some good, some bad. This place is by far the best park I've stayed at. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. The park itself is easy to find and is very well kept. The owners take pride in their park and they actually care about each person that comes to stay with them. They let you know that you can call them anytime if you need anything.

The park is very quiet and they have laundry facilities on the property. Several spots are shaded and some even have picnic tables and fire pits. The water is clean and the electricity has been very stable. The price is very fair and reasonable. Also, the area around the park has some really good restaurants and your not far from Searcy if you need a Lowe's or Walmart. Talk to Mr. Barnes if you need good recommendations on anything from food to RV maintenance shops or pretty much anything else, he'll always help and have an entertaining story or two to tell. Also, don't be surprised when you get waves and smiles from other residents there. Everyone I've encountered has been very friendly and cheerful. I highly recommend Barnes R.V. & Mobile home park, whether you need to stay a night, week or a few months, you will be treated with the exact same respect by the owners. A++ service!!

Campsite: Calaveras Lake Park

First, the water looks good, and the fishing was fine, however, it is a bit expensive. There is a lot of overgrowth in places and several trash bins were overflowing. I haven't been here often, so I don't know if this is the norm. It wasn't a holiday when I went, so not sure if they're just short staffed like many other businesses. I liked the pier setup and the staff seemed friendly enough. Overall, if you're close, have cash to burn, and you have the whole day, then it could be worth popping in. If you only have a few hours, it's a bit too pricey for that.

Campsite: Angleton  RV Park & Resort

The management at this park is extremely nice. I really enjoyed my stay here. The neighbors were friendly and the place is kept clean. It has a pretty nice laundry facility. I didn't connect to the Wi-Fi, so I have no comment on that, but I did get a good signal through my nighthawk with AT&T. They have security cameras all over which is a nice bonus. I really liked the fact that I didn't need to use leveling blocks. The pull through spot I stayed in was nice and level. I also loved being close to a loves and Carl's Junior. I can't say enough about the courtesy of the management. They will always try to make your stay an enjoyable one. I felt that my self and my rig were safe here. I will stay here again whenever work brings me back out this way. I highly recommend Angleton RV Park if you need to stay a day, week or even months.
