This park is such an awesome break from driving. You get stuck behind ANOTHER camper or ANOTHER semi going 50 mph on the dot for miles on end. Kids are getting restless and because 35 is so curvy, passing anyone feels like a gamble. This park is old school, we are talking a metal slide, metal monkey bars, and the swings are massive. The top bar of the swings must be 20 feet off the ground. You can push your kids so high your wife will not be able to watch. My daughter was laughing uncontrollably with fun. It is a great memory. We also then took a stroll down the beach, my daughter finding small shells, and the waves crashing water over our feet. We took a nice stroll, turned around, and went back. Felt great to get some energy out of the kid and some blood back into our legs after sitting so long. The "bathrooms" is a singular Portapotty. The "picnic area" are worn down picnic tables scattered along the beach. There were some people playing with their dog in the water a little ways down towards the camp site. Seems dog friendly enough to me!
This place is not fancy at all, but it was exactly what we needed today. There is even a swing that's set up so high off the ground, I had to jump to get on it as a grown man.... I'm 6'5"... my feet weren't touching the ground. It was awesome! Slide sucked though...
