West Point Lake huge and beautiful. But the amount of trash in it and along the shorelines was gross and very disappointing. My friend and I rented a kayak which I thought was a bit on the expensive side and we went fishing. We did not catch anything at all. Tried a bunch of different lures, but no dice. Maybe we just weren’t using the right bait, but it was slightly disappointing. Gosh we’re jumping and we did see some big fish resting on the surface. Which was neat. It was a good experience for an out of stater.
