Campsite: Temple Mt. Rd. Dispersed

CG close to goblin valley SP. This BLM CG is FCFS, $15/$7.50 plus two group areas ($50 nite no reservations) one at each end. 12 sites total, two vault toilets. No water, no dumpsters however each site has a table and fire ring...the group sites have a shade awning also. Paved road all the way in

CG is gravel, no shade whatsoever! Cell signal is 1-2 bars on my TMobile phone but my Starlink rocks the interwebs here! Lack of dumpsters is reason for 4 stars

Campsite: Cedar Mesa Campground — Capitol Reef National Park

Nice small CG in the Backcountry. Only 5 sites and all are sized for truck, van tent campers. No TT turnaround and sites are too small for TT and RVs anyway This CG is in the NP and the sandy road to access is NOT good for RVs. No cell signal out there. CG has a vault toilet, but no water or trash bins.

Campsite: Beaver Dam Wash Dispersed Spot

Dispersed camping is free in designated areas (see map). Cell service good for att and Tmobile. My Verizon shows good bars but no data. Main road old hwy 99 is paved so access is good. Dispersed camping is off hwy on dirt gravel spurs. Joshua trees scattered over the landscape. Two stars because camping areas in the one I visited are trashy and vegetation is all beat down by livestock.

Campsite: Oak Creek (fishlake National Forest, Utah)

FS notes no trailers over 20ft. No cell service. And when I looked, no campers either. Sites are small and end loop is to tight to turn a TT around..beware! Otherwise a nice CG for renters and van types.

Campsite: Athena Slabs at Green River

Desolate bleak landscape is reason for three stars. However, the trail is very well designed (Moab Scotty?), but there is no shade anywhere since no trees, so if hot you will be too, and if it has rained this one could be gumbo due to the clayey soils. Ride early am or on cool days only, if windy it would be brutal for both riding and camping. Camping near the TH on old Athena rocket program building foundations (at least level for trailers!). Excellent cell service due to I 70 and Green River is only 10 mins to coffee!.
