Campsite: Camp 83

We camped here for 5 days using our passport america membership to get half price camping. We had full hookups, so that was great. We were also very happy to find that they have a small laundromat (2 washers and 2 dryers) which we used. $2/wash and $1/dry. They also have a restroom and shower in the same building as the laundry room, but since we had full hookups we did not use. The grass was very tall around the campers the 5 days we were there, tho they did mow around their building. The campground could use a few trees for shade as it was very hot and sunny but it was pretty calm so we could use our awning to create a little shade. There wasn't paved pads, just grass, but we had plenty of room for our 42' 5th-wheel and truck. It's right on the edge of Herreid so wasn't far to go for groceries, church or restaurants. It's no KOA, but for $15/night was a real bargain. If we come this way again, I would camp here.

Campsite: Larson Park Campground

Nice little campground. Not a lot of shade for the camper, but has a nice little grassy area behind the campers with small playground equipment that is shady. Right next to the golf course, which we didn't get to try out since we didn't have our clubs along. Maybe next time we pass this way. The ladies in the office were super friendly and helpful. Restrooms were older but clean. Had lots of sight-seeing to do in the area. Ate at a couple of area restaurants, checked out some antique stores and did a little geocaching. The location of this campground was perfect for us.
