Campsite: Adirondack Shelters — Catoctin Mountain Park
Great views, about an hour from Gaithersburg. Good hiking shoes recommended, for sure as some trails are rocky. The trails are, for the most part, well marked. FYI - they have a really nice visitors center, too.
