Road was a bit rough being a mix sections of broken asphalt and washboard gravel. Nice views of Grand Junction city lights to the south and mountains on the north. Widely spaced sites, pit privies, fire rings and concrete picnic tables. No water. About 10 sites, fees 10$ nt. Nice desert scenery overall.

Lakeview pullout. One can walk down along the dam to fish. Sadly as usual another place for disrespectful folks to discard their garbage. Interesting assortment of hundreds of locks on the fence - good place to practice your picking skills. I've seen this in other places where couples "🔒" their vows to commit to each other.

My oh my! Pristine outdoors at its very best. Fantastic National Forest experiences. Nearby are the beautiful Little Popo Agie River, small lakes and trails to explore. Campground is small and equipped with bear boxes.
