Campsite: Coach Stop RV Park

Wellton is a very small town with very few dining options and few services, but this park is really cute and it's dirt cheap compared to options in Yuma. It's 27 miles to the closest Walmart, which to me is a kind of benchmark for how far you'll need to go for basic supplies. It's too far for my liking, but many guests are looking for a rural location to get away from city life. There is a municipal golf course nearby and a well worn path for golf carts to use to get to the course. That is quite the draw for some.

It is primarily filled with nice park models with RV spaces scattered around between them. There is enough room for additions and large decks and still have covered parking for your vehicles. Lots are gravel with enough room for an RV, a parking space and a small area for lawn furniture. The streets are not paved but they aren't just gravel either. Some complain that biking through the park is difficult on the surface, but I found it to be fine for slow rides .

The park is well maintained and the pool is beautiful. The clubhouse is too. There is a very nice exercise room and a party hall that is climate controlled year round. Units are prohibited from having their own washing machines, so the laundry room onsite is heavily used during the season. The rules are reasonable and enforced. It is not a +55 park, but the majority of the guests are seniors. There are lots of parties that run into the night and a gorgeous outdoor fire pit for nightly gatherings.

For me, it was just too far away from shopping and services to be practical for long term stays. The staff could have been friendlier, but maybe I caught them on a bad day. I wouldn't want to be selling a unit in the park while living out of state. The staff aren't always good ambassadors for the park and don't seem to want to help potential buyers.

Overall, the park is adorable. It is primarily seasonal residents staying in their park models. There are few annual residents. It's really inexpensive for all it has to offer. During the winter the staff are hard working and care about their park. The off season is entirely different. I won't go back, but for those looking for a rural experience at a bargain price near golf it is a great choice.
