Campsite: West Pinal County Park

Excellent place for a couple nights or more. Is pretty isolated and a bit of a drive to Casa Grande for real shopping. I didn't see any place for payment at the location as posted a year ago. Payment must be made online. $10 a night and a $3 registration fee. Hard sand roads and sites. Nice pavilions and picnic table and charcoal grill. Some rutting from rain but was able to enter with the class A and a toad. It's September and had rain and thunderstorms off and on last evening and night. Hopefully the sand stays hard enough to not be a problem driving out this morning. As the web site says, no facilities at all. No trash receptacles, water, electric, or sewer dump. Pack it in, pack it out.

Campsite: Langtry Wagon Wheel RV Park

I suggest never ever come to this place. I'd give it a minus five if I could. I found it on Google Maps. I parked elsewhere and walked toward where Maps said it was located. There were 3 people at the corner house when I walked by. Pretty remote area with a lot of empty and dilapidated houses with no one but me and them around.. As I got in the area where Maps indicates the RV park is located, suddenly there were numerous gun shots. Unsure if I was being shot at, I immediately turned around and went to the corner house to inquire about the shots. They said they could shoot anyplace in this area when I asked if there was a range. In conversation I discovered the one man was the owner of the "when I get it going" RV park. It became apparent he was the shooter. I believe the shots were to intimidate me. Would you want to stay here??

Campsite: Labonte Park

Corpus Christi Parks manages this park. Camping permitted for three days with permit available by calling or email. No hookups or water. RVs ok. Tents ok. Free permit. Picnic tables. Fishing (Texas freshwater license required and available online) on the Nueces River! Caught only channel cat and 95% were under the 12" minimum size. Clean and trash dumped regularly. Restroom center park but they are boarded up and not available. Street lighting. Jose the manager is a very great person to work with getting a permit if wanting to camp! Several people ejected because of no permit. Walmart and restaurants and all kinds of shopping just a short 3 mile drive away.

The cons - Constant Interstate traffic noise. Airport plane traffic occasionally overhead. CAUTION! If your in a RV watch the height of the bridge. Do not exit the interstate coming from the south. Go to a U turn and enter from the North to avoid the low clearance under the bridge. Same leaving, go out South. Information center and bathrooms closed. No dump station or water or electric.
