West Eagle Meadows is one of the best places to introduce a young family to the outdoors. West Eagle Creek runs slow with lots of shallows for children to wade in and enjoy pebbly beaches. It has drive in campsites or you can walk a short distance and find about ten campsites with creek views and picnic tables. You can follow a good trail as far and as high as you want to go toward Echo and Traverse Lakes.
