Campsite: Desert's Edge RV Park

Made a reservation months ago however upon arrival today we learned the bathrooms are closed for renovation and there is no WiFi. There was no notice, no contact, and no discount! While we are self-sufficent in a Class C and have Starlink for WiFi, every once in a while it's nice to have a larger shower stall!

Limited number of pull-through spaces and none have any shade or landscaping to speak of (that is clearly stated on the website; if you want trees and shade you need to reserve one of the numerous back-in spaces, which look very nice. Our slip, #405 was long enough for our 31' Class C and VW - we were able to leave the tow dolly connected. The gravel site is mostly level and has 50 and 30 amp outlets, no 20 amp. There is no CATV however on-air channels come in clearly and there are many to choose from. AT&T has four bars and Starlink was fast enough to stream on TV and power up 2 phones and 2 computers in prime time.

Have not checked the laundry room or pool yet and the dogs are not happy with the complete lack of grass (I know, I know, it's the desert). We're here for five days and won't be back. I only chose this place because it was the closest park with pull-through slips to a downtown location I will be at every day. The area is heavily industrial with lots of razor wire topping fences,

Campsite: Bar J Hitching Post RV

Too bad websites don’t have sound. This place, while very clean and well kept, is incredibly noisy. Located right off I-20, next to active railroad tracks and directly across the street from a Love’s Travel Stop, it was so loud we couldn’t open the windows and heard the trucks, trains and traffic even with our AC on.

The pull-through slip had full hookups and was kinda level; our wheels were almost off the ground after the auto level stopped. The cable is as useless as the WiFi: 11 channels with four showing no signal and the on-air channels are equally sparse. The WiFi totally sucked, beach balling more than connecting. We had one bar with ATT so if you’re here for more than one night, bring a book.

We were in site 49 in a 32’ Class C rig towing a VW. We paid $39.50 with Good Sam. You get what you pay for . . .

Campsite: Henderson RV Park

I’m struggling to remember why I chose this park. No pads, no WiFi, no cable, no facilities we could find other than the laundry that had a big “ Beware of the Dog” sign - the facility monument sign is about 4x4 hidden by trees. $50 for a pull-through slice of grass with water, sewer and electricity!

The place is dirty, loud and generally disgusting! If you’re into dogs tied up with no owners in sight, booming music, vehicles that need mufflers and lots of cigarette smoke, this is for you.
